Comprehensive Opioid Treatment

Research shows that a comprehensive treatment plan utilizing counseling and medication is the most effective form of treatment for opioid use disorder

A Multidisciplinary Team for Personalized Care

BHG is committed to providing evidenced-based treatment for opioid use disorder in a safe, non-judgemental environment. Our dedicated team of physicians, counselors and licensed clinicians work to provide patients with the comprehensive support they need to take their lives back.

Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT)

One of biggest obstacles in overcoming opioid addiction is managing the physical dependence that has developed through the continued use of opioids. The resulting cravings and withdrawal symptoms make starting the path to recovery difficult and increase the likelihood of relapse. Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) utilizes a combination of medication such as methadone, buprenorphine and buprenorphine/Naloxone (Suboxone, Zubsolv, Bunavail) along with counseling to provide a comprehensive approach to treatment. The support provided by MAT also allows patients to return to productive lives within their families, jobs and communities.

Our  physicians will meet with each new patient to determine the most therapeutic course of treatment and will continually monitor their progress through recovery. When the physical symptoms of addiction are managed, the patient has a greater opportunity to participate in and benefit from counseling services. This combination of medication along with counseling and social services is considered the gold standard of care.

Counseling is a fundamental component of creating lasting success in overcoming addiction. Our counselors meet patients wherever they are in their journey and collaborate with them to create short-term and long-term goals as part of an individualized treatment plan.

BHG takes a patient-centered approach to treatment that empowers each individual to take their life back. The Patient Experience

From the first moment a person walks into a BHG treatment center, we strive to provide that individual with a sense of Hope, Respect and Caring. Patients are given individualized care and comprehensive treatment by our staff of licensed physicians, nurses, and counselors. Ensuring that all patients receive the care they need to achieve their optimal level of well-being is the number one priority of our clinicians. We know the most effective way to accomplish this is to listen to the patient’s needs and collaborate with them to develop a personalized treatment plan containing clear objectives on how to achieve lasting success in recovery.

Outpatient Opioid Treatment

All BHG treatment centers provide treatment in an outpatient setting.  This allows the patient to receive treatment while they continue to live at home, attend work or school and live a normal life. Regular counseling sessions and doctor visits are cornerstones to all of our programs. Certain programs also require on-site administration of medication. The frequency of on-site dosing is determined by federal and state regulations, direction from the doctor with input from the treatment team and the achievement of recovery milestones by the patient.

In addition to medical and behavioral treatment, BHG encourages abstinence from illicit substances. All patients receive scheduled and unscheduled drug tests, which are monitored by the clinic medical staff. Drug screening is not intended to be a punitive tool; rather, it helps ensure safe medication dosing, measurements of progress and accountability. This accountability, along with the constant support from the BHG medical and counseling teams, helps reduce the risk of relapse.
